This is an exciting role within our growing business, involving predominantly the servicing and maintenance of diesel generators for our ever-expanding portfolio of clients from private individuals to the NHS and large multinational companies. Some aspects of the role will require your involvement with our projects team on design & installation projects large and small. We operate across many sectors, from small domestic standby units to large data centre N+1 set-ups, large multiple synced sets on rooftops in London to single prime running sets with high frequency servicing schedules operating high demand machinery. No two days will be the same.

The Role
Mainly field based with regular travel to customer premises, installations, head office/depot and suppliers based within the UK, generally South East, South and London.
The role encompasses servicing/maintenance and installation of diesel generators either in situ at customer premises or based in the workshop. Motor vehicle provided. Mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge and knowledge of diesel generators is essential.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be dynamic, self-motivating, have a keen eye for detail and a high ability to problem solve on the go. They will also need to have the ability to work well within a team, actively contribute and help to push on projects when needed.
Must have basic IT skills, be able to use a spreadsheet and record / manage data accurately whilst out on site. As a representative of our company the candidate must have the ability to be confident, knowledgeable and approachable in an occasionally customer facing role, with a good awareness of what is required in the service industry.
Essential experience and requirements, but not limited to:
- Mechanical engineering background
- Electrical engineering background (preferred)
- IEE regs - 18th Edition (beneficial not essential)
- UK Driving Licence (clean would be a benefit).
You will be an experienced generator field service engineer with strong knowledge both electrically and mechanically of one or more of the following diesel generators: FG Wilson, MWM Detuz, Broadcrown, SDMO, CAT, Cummins, Aksa, Mitsubishi, John Deere, Perkins, Scania and other associated generator equipment.
